Cana
I have loved to dance since I was a child. I like to dance in such a way that I can stir up the outer world and the inner world. That's how I dance. I love the little days and listen to transparent and precious songs.
Miwa Watase
Having spent her childhood in the countryside of northern Hyogo Prefecture, she is a musician and music therapist who enjoys in playing outdoors in nature. She specializes "play music" using all the senses, which sometimes makes passing cats look twice. At workshops and live performances, she uses improvisation to develop audience participation.
Fumi Takenouchi
Fumi grew up in an environment where she was exposed to gymnastics, her mother's Western-style sewing, and studied architecture. From these experiences, she reads the relationship between the space surrounding the body and creates works inspired by architecture. Her media ranges from the body, architecture, film, sound, materials and drawing. In architectural design, she eschews the idea of clothing, fabric and dance, and writes about the lines of spatial power latent in everyday places. In performance, she has created dance pieces that embody a re-arrangement of time and space based on the context of place. This is also a method of private architectural design by the body. She is not bound by any particular method, but explores thoughts and expressions that move between boundaries. She has worked in Japan, USA, France and Germany and has completed her postgraduate studies in architecture at Tokyo University of the Arts. Some of her previous works include "NEXT INTERSECTION" (Kyoto, 2018), "SELFHOOD / Michael Maurissens" (Kyoto Art Center, 2017), and "F=ma Architectural Analysis" (USA, 2016). Major awards she has received include "Tokyo Architectural Collection 2015" (Daikanyama Hillside Terrace, 2015), "The 85th Soen Prize" (Bunka Gakuen, Tokyo, 2011), and "Sendai Design League 2011: Japan's Best Graduation Design Competition" (Sendai, 2011).
